Sue was under the weather so we hope to visit tomorrow before hitting the road.
We hit the W big box and the T big box stores to stock up for the trip. Instead of renting bedding and kitchen ware, we decided to buy inexpensively (comforter set with sheets and all included for $40 plus two packages of two towel sets each total $8.) and leave it with our niece at the end of the trip for her guest bath and bedroom, etc. We only bought one pot and one skillet feeling this would suffice. Paper and plastic (no dish washing, yay!) dinner ware and 2 ceramic mugs for nuking coffee. We'll see if I can survive without my Keurig, yikes! The cost was essentially the same as renting, but someone we care about about benefits.
Joe, not wanting to take a chance that we would camp somewhere without one, decided we must have a folding grill for the trip. It was less than $10. Tomorrow we hit the D Tree across the street for inexpensive and small quantities of slide lock bags, trash bags and other stuff we'd need anyway. We're also planning to wash the new sheets and towels at the hotel laundry.
The only things we're having trouble finding is inexpensive lawn chairs and a side table. Seems either they've been marked down and sold out or are still regular price and more than we want to spend. Something will turn up.
I'm starting to get really excited about this new adventure and hitting the road. We pick the RV up at 1:30 in Mesa!
